摘要：

The 1984 Canadian Pulp and Paper Association sponsored process control course precipitated a subsequent training effort which to date has exposed over 1000 engineers and technicians. This training aims to build a practical foundation of modern process control concepts based on fundamental control principles. Most engineers have forgotten and most technicians were never exposed to these principles. Graduates of the training have helped to improve process control practice and the competitiveness of their mills.
