摘要
A new indium oxide with the composition Ba8In6O17 was prepared and was investigated by single-crystal X-ray diffractometry. The space group was determined as D174h - I4/mmm; a = 4.1725 A ̊; c = 30.487 A ̊; Z = 1. Ba8In6O17 can be derived from the Sr4Ti3O10 type, characterized by oxygen defects. In3+ shows an octahedral oxygen coordination. Because of the oxygen deficit the InO6 coordination is reduced in local positions to a tetragonal pyramidal structure. © 1990.
