摘要
The migration to which the Muslim and Turkish population of Bulgaria was submitted in 1989 year was a forced migration. It may be defined as an exile since exile was a measure to protect the social order from old ages as it was applied in the Roman and Ottoman Empires. The migration, started by the Bulgarian state in 1989 may not be defined as a governmental protective measure because the Muslim-Turkish minority was a peaceful and harmless population. Even if the Bulgarian state administrative applications do not permit to define this migration as "forced", there is no real reason to deny that the experiences of the immigrants were otherwise.
