摘要：

This article examines from a Christian point of view if the concept of Europe as "christliches Abendland" is in any way still a constructive and viable contribution to the debate about European identity. The inevitable anachronism of the "Abendland" idea does not necessarily imply that Europe and Christianity are essentially separated spheres.
