USING K-BETA-K-ALPHA X-RAY-INTENSITY RATIOS TO OBTAIN THE EFFICIENCY CURVE OF A PLANAR GE(LI) DETECTOR

摘要
The low-enery response of a Ge(Li) planar detector has been measured, using a set chemical element target and observing the intensity ratios of K X-ray peaks produced by external fluorescence. An energy range from 2.6 to 13.3 keV has been covered, using all elements between Z== 19 and Z = 35, and chlorine. From available theoretical and empirical X-ray emission ratios we have obtained an efficiency curve and tested its validity. © 1979.
