摘要：

In this review, the traits of traditional Bulgarian folk medicine from the Middle Ages to XX century are summarized. The educational skills of the healers and the characteristic of their specific medical work are presented. Some prominent names of traditional healers are included. The main trends, followed by the folk medicine in Bulgaria are discussed in brief. The existence of three main healing practices in folk medicine is discussed also. A short review of the influence of traditional medicine practices is made in conclusion.
