Phytomediated Biogenic Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Leaf Extracts of Hugonia mystax L. and Its Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Bio-Efficacy

摘要
A simple, eco-friendly and cost effective method for synthesizing silver nanoparticle using the leaf extract of medicinal plant Hugonia mystax is illustrated in the present work for the first time. The synthesized (AgNP's) were characterized using FTIR, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDAX and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The formation of Ag-NPs was confirmed showing an intense maximum absorption peak at 415 nm by UV-visible spectrophotometer. The particle size of the AgNPs was calculated as 35.73 nm by using XRD analysis. The surface morphology of AgNPs was identified using SEM, TEM and elemental composition was determined using EDAX analysis. The FT-IR study revealed the functional groups responsible for the synthesis of the AgNPs. Finally, these results support the advantages of using bio-green method for synthesizing AgNPs with antioxidant and antimicrobial activities.
