摘要
The articles analyzes implementation of the synthesis of media criticism and media education in Austria. The most important aim of modern media education is developing competences for independent actions in media space, where media are the subject and the means of education. Media criticism as a constituent part of media education is gaining more and more significance in the process of secondary and higher education in Austria. Moreover, types of activities with media critics' text not only include "dry" analysis, but also evaluation of ethics and creation of own media products (print, audio or video). Thus, teaching critical analysis and evaluation of media texts as well as using the media, is an imperative sphere of media educators' work. The joint work of media educators and media critics today more relevant than ever. Close interaction of media criticism and media education emphasize in his works, many researchers. We fully agree with the thesis of A. Korochensky, according to which "media criticism and media education are contiguous, interpenetrating fields of activity, largely coinciding in its aims and objectives ... especially clear their interpenetration becomes when media criticism implements its educational function. Journalistic media criticism with ee educational, developmental potential can significantly complement the efforts of media educators. Published works of media critics are arming teachers, representatives of media valuable material for improving the content of the educational process, for didactic use during training".
