Poetry and rhetoric of the photomontage: Theoretical limits

It is possible to conceptualize the photomontage image as visual poetry or poetic image. The photomontage is an image that participates in the precepts of the poetic image and visual rhetorical strategies of building as figures of thought. The photomontage and creative strategies question the criteria given from a position panretorica and opens new ways of conceptualizing the image. This paper examines the boundaries between poetry and rhetoric against the visual phenomenon of photomontage.
