摘要
Tetracarbonyl(formamidinocarbene)complexes of chromium and molybdenum 4a-j are obtained from alkoxycarbene or acetoxycarbene complexes 1a-c upon reaction with the formamidines 2a-e. Pentacarbonyl(formamidinocarbene) intermediates 3 can be isolated at temperatures < - 10-degrees-C. The molybdenum complex 4f reveals a planar five-membered chelate ring containing a short metal-carbene bond. As indicated by their C-13-NMR spectra the amidinocarbene chelates 4 undergo rapid CO exchange even at low temperatures. Also, they undergo cycloaddition reactions with 3-hexyne to give 2,3-dihydropyrrolones 6,7 after oxidative workup.
