CAPILLARY WAVES ON THE LIQUID-VAPOR INTERFACE, AND PROPAGATION NEAR BOUNDARIES

摘要
The paper will outline the thermally-excited-capillary-wave model for the liquid-vapour interface, and then discuss some factors which are neglected which may well be important when comparing with experiment. To learn about the properties of capillary waves in thin liquid layers we have made a study of the propagation of waves up an inclined beach and preliminary results of this study will be described.
