摘要
In the light of the critical pedagogy of Paulo Freire, this article analyses two projects of music education carried out by two Brazilian universities. The first project, implemented in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, discusses the Music Workshop as part of the Programme Escola Integrada (Integrated School). Data was collected through participants' reports and interviews. The second project was based on Lucy Green's (2008) informal learning model, which was implemented in a distance learning undergraduate course offered by Universidade de Brasilia. It employed interviews, observations, online questionnaires and analysis of materials produced by the module participants. The pedagogical and musical principles adopted in both projects suggest the importance to value and mobilize educatees' musical knowledge, collaborative learning, and the conscientization of one's own musicianship towards a potentially musical pedagogy of autonomy.
