Do secondary students manifest sexist attitudes?

摘要
Introduction. The sexism and the sexist attitudes can unleash the violence of genre. Therefore it is important to analyze these variables at an early age (in the classrooms of secondary); with it we will have a base on which to intervene. Method. The sample object of study is formed by 962 students of Secondary. The measuring instruments used serve the purpose of assessing the variables studied, both in the sample of men and women the corresponding. Results. They have found high levels of sexism both in boys and in girls. In addition, the boys demonstrate more sexist attitudes that the girls and they are more inclined to differentiate the persons because of roles of genre. Discussion and Conclusion. The results show the need to carry out programs of not sexist education. In this respect, the school can be an element of change and contributes to the social transformation in benefit of the equality of genre and the non-violence towards the women.
