VAPORIZATION OF ANTIMONY AND TELLURIUM IN VICINITY OF CRITICAL POINT

摘要
Laser-produced vapor of antimony and tellurium was analyzed with a time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Several new vapor species have been observed : Te5 and Sb3 are the most abundant species in the vapor of the respective metals. The conditions of laser-solid interaction are discussed; it is shown that critical temperatures and pressures for Sb and Te can be attained when a sufficiently strong laser interacts with these metals.
