A versatile and plain thermal equivalent circuit for the rotor of a superconducting synchronous generator

摘要
The paper describes a two mass thermal model of the complex structure of the superconducting rotor of a medium sized synchronous generator. The approach is based on an equivalent network. This circuit contains two masses and is used for monitoring of the generator when in service. Comparison to experimental data and performance data of the rotor calculated with a numerical code are given and show reasonable agreement with respect to the intended purpose.
