摘要
The thermal polymerization of diethynyldiphenylsilane, reported in 1968 to afford the poly-(silylenebutadiyne), -[Ph2Si-C = C-C = C]n-, has been reinvestigated and found not to produce a polymer containing acetylenic units in the chain. Vastly improved properties are achieved when the polymerization is catalytically induced with MoCl5 or WCl6. These polymers are electrically conducting (10(-3) S/cm) with I2 doping and form good-quality solvent-cast films.
