摘要
The lineshape of the measured, richly structured high excitation luminescence spectra in high magnetic fields in GaAs quantum wells with different thicknesses is analyzed using calculations. In the calculations many-body effects are taken into account only by varying the band-gap. The renormalization of the gap due to carrier-carrier interaction is determined and is found to saturate at a value of twice the exciton binding energy. The data are well described with this simple model, except for the ground state and the observed low energy tailing which necessitates a many-body correction of the density of states. © 1990.
