摘要
In coherent optical subcarrier multiplexing systems, the laser phase noise may cause signal spectrum broadening, and hence, deteriorates the system performance seriously. In this paper, we analyze the influence of phase noise in terms of carrier to noise ratio, intermodulation distortion, and adjacent channel crosstalk. The optimal modulation index and carrier to noise ratio are also presented.
