摘要
I review the individual selection notion derived from the synthetic theory of evolution together with Wynne-Edwards' and more recent group selection proposals. Next, I suggest arguments to dismiss central criticisms and to reinforce arguments in favor of group selection; among them, that group event cycles are shorter than organisms' life expands, which prevents individual level selection from obscuring the effects of group level selection. Since about 45,000 years, group selection in Homo sapiens has been reinforced by factors such as group moral, exclusion tendencies, symbolic language, armament technology, cooperation, altruistic punishment, and punishment to whom never punish. Finally, I suggest that group selection is still acting on present day humans.
