FREQUENCY-DOUBLING FROM A NOVEL ORGANIC-CRYSTAL

摘要
A novel optical nonlinear organic crystal: 2-Furyl-Methacrylic Anhideride(FMA) was grown by solution method. The crystal belongs to the 4 mm of point group and is optically uniaxial. Non-zero SHG coefficients for frequency doubling were d33 = 24 pm/V and d31 = 16 pm/V respectively. The polished bulk crystal was used for frequency doubling at type II phase matching. And also the crystal was utilized as nonlinear optical substrate of an SHG waveguide.
