Development of virtual instrumentation applied to telecommunications laboratories using the Red Pitaya board

摘要
A teaching telecommunication lab requires equipment endowment such as spectrum analyzers, impedance analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, function generators, and time-domain reflectometers, which means expensive funding for the universities to invest in these types of equipment. However, thanks to the built-in data-acquisition-and-signal-generation platform called Red Pitayas, it is possible to develop a low-cost workbench, which represents an opportunity for universities that cannot afford large fundings for equipment endowment. The teaching laboratories of the Telecommunication school at the University of Carabobo require workbenches through virtual instrumentation to help the students during the equipment training, achieving an effective way to the issues relate to resource generations, researching, and teaching.
