摘要：

The aim of this review is to discuss the fundamentals and the progress in the field of chemical reaction engineering and in the field of development of catalysts for the heterogeneous catalysed gas phase oxidation of hydrocarbons. These aspects shall be demonstrated for the industrial processes of the production of maleic anhydride, phthalic anhydride, ethene oxide and for the ammoxidation of propene to acrylonitrile.
