摘要
The real-time determination of impulse responses finds applications in many areas, such as sonar and non-destructive testing. This paper presents an evaluation of the IMS A100 DSP when computing the impulse response by means of an efficient algorithm which requires only a single convolution. Two architectures are considered, both using a cascade of four IMS A100s mounted on an IMS B009 evaluation board. Several topics involving accuracy, speed, interfacing and range of application are addressed. An overall analysis of accuracy and speed is carried out using simulated and experimental data. Criteria to optimize deconvolution quality and to increase throughput rates are also given. Results show that when processing bursts of 1024 samples, rates above 150 impulse responses per second are attained, thus affording new opportunities to increase resolution and speed in several research and industrial fields.
