摘要：
A study has been made for colorimetric assay procedure, based on the possibility of a reaction of polyoxyethylene type non-ionic surfactants with acetyl chloride in the presence of ferric chloride to produce a coloured complex. The various factors such as validity of Beer's law, stability of reagent and the complex and the nature of the complex have been studied.
