Study of intercultural skills in Secondary Education teachers

摘要
In order to respond to the demands of the multicultural and changeable Spanish society of XXI century, it is important that teachers are properly trained and have the necessary intercultural skills to properly perform their educational work. Therefore, the target of study of this research is to analyze the intercultural competencies that teachers of secondary education have and involvement in the development of interculturality in their schools, in order to, when necessary, suggest some alternatives that promoting inclusive education. In order to analyze this situation we have used a standardized questionnaire with a sample composed of 130 teachers from six schools in the provinces of Murcia and Cadiz. The results have been treated by the SPSS Statistics edition 20. the results shows the lack of training of the analyzed teachers and the need to implement training in intercultural skills, both as in university initial training and as in continuing education.
