摘要
This paper examines the effects of intercritical annealing and step cooling to evaluate the effects of bainite formation on the mechanical properties of intercritically annealed Fe-1. 0Mn-0. 09C steel. In particular, the effects of bainite formation and quench aging in the ferrite matrix are evaluated to determine the conditions at which the transition from continuous to discontinuous yielding occur. The heat treatments are designed to simulate continuous annealing processes which incorporate step cooling as a procedure to improve ductility by overaging the ferrite matrix of low carbon continuously annealed steels. 9 Refs.
