摘要:
With 10 years of working as a paediatric nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit of Saint -Luc University Hospital in Brussels, the author has established a multidisciplinary working group of colleagues to reflect on the unique challenges of palliative care situations among the very premature and sick newborns, and to seek improvements to caregivers' practices. The group's work, drawing on the empirical experience of its members, has driven the development of tools and procedures that are more adapted to the requirements of the infant at its end of life and of its parents. Thanks to broad support for this effort across the entire caregiver team, it has been possible to introduce a therapeutic project which is now systematically applied. (C) 2016 Elsevier Masson SAS.
