This manuscript is a brief historical account of the trajectory of the Laboratory for the Evaluation and Synthesis of Bioactive Substances - LASSBio (R), currently located at the Department of Drugs, Faculty of Pharmacy, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro from its establishment, in April 19, 1994, until now, narrated by its founder and current Scientific Coordinator.
