2 NEW TERNARY COPPER-PLATINUM OXIDES

摘要
Two new phases have been synthesized at Po2 = 200 atm and T = 890 °C. One phase consists of a solid-solution region, Cu1-xPtxO, with the tetragonal PtS structure and x ranging from 0.135 to 0.355. The other phase has the composition CuPt3O6 and has been indexed with a primitive orthorhombic unit cell with a = 11.588 A ̊, b = 6.126 A ̊ and c = 3.109 A ̊. Both phases are black and highly insoluble. © 1969.
