摘要
The variation of fracture surface topography with specimen thickness (in the range 0.064-0.5 in.) has been studied for fatigued commercially pure aluminium sheet. The visibility of characteristic fatigue fracture striations appears to be governed by the conditions existing along the crack front, in that they were only observed in regions where a state approximating to plane strain existed. Current models for Stage II fatigue crack propagation are briefly discussed in the light of these findings. © 1969.
