摘要：

The need for a detailed classification of the pigmentation abnormalities that occur during the ripening of tomato fruits is discussed and a possible classification is presented. The amounts of the different types of pigmentation abnormality occurring show large annual differences and pronounced short-term fluctuations in any one season.
