The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of growth regulators Stimulate, Curavial and Tuval on the development of Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.) plants in the first year of implantation. The experimental design consisted of randomized blocks in a factorial scheme (3x2) + 1, with four replications, corresponding to 3 growth regulators in two doses, one more witness. The treatments were, Stimulate (1 and 1, 25 ml ha(-1)), Curavial (0,5 and 15 g ha(-1)) and Tuval (3 and 3,3L ha(-1)). The evaluation of the jatropha culture, the following variables were taken: height, crown diameter, stem diameter, number of male flowers, female ratio of male/female flower and fruit number per plant for assessing the culture of Jatropha, the variables were collected. The evaluations were performed monthly until 360 days after application of growth regulators and stem diameter to the 240 days. The evaluation of the number of fruits, was monthly, whereas those with more than 5 cm in diameter. The height and diameter of the stem of Jatropha plants suffered no significant effect to the application of growth regulators. The growth regulators Tuval 3 L ha(-1) was the only one that showed a reduction in canopy diameter. The number of flowers per inflorescence in general, was not affected by the application of growth regulators and Curavial0, 5g ha(-1) was the only growth regulator to promote increased the number of fruits per plant.
