摘要：
A new all-fiber frequency shifter is reported. Bend-induced birefringence is introduced in ordinary single-mode fiber. Light launched into one of the principal axes thus created is coupled with a frequency shift to the orthogonal axis by interacting with a traveling acoustic wave. Unwanted sideband suppression of 20 db has been demonstrated.
