摘要
We have investigated the quasi-particle energy band structure of polyglycine in dependence of the subspaces defining the occupied and virtual states. Even energetically high-lying bands having the appropriate symmetry have to be taken into account for the virtual double excitations in the perturbation theoretical approach in second order according to the Moller-Plesset scheme. The Hartree-Fock fundamental band gap of 14.4 eV is reduced to 9.9 eV as a result of the electron correlation corrections.
