By generalizing the concept of OD structures (“order-disorder structures”) in spaces of any number of dimensions, structures with generalized symmetry (such as antisymmetry) may be treated. Antiferroelectric and antiferromagnetic crystals should form such OD structures. Some examples are mentioned. © 1968, Walter de Gruyter. All rights reserved.
