摘要：
A new assignment is proposed for the internal vibrations of the MoO42- and WO42- ions in condensed lattices. Infrared and Raman-laser spectra from alpha-Th(MoO4)(2) and alpha-Th(WO4)(2) were analysed. The occurrence of two types of polyhedra and Th(IV) cations does not result in couplings, allowing a more reliable assignment of the internal modes of the tetrahedra.
