TEACHING/LEARNING OF SOCIO-COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS IN ASPERGER'S SYNDROME

摘要
This paper focuses on five intervention units for professionals in Asperger syndrome, in addition to a previous study (Rodriguez-Munoz and Ridao, in press) where the authors describe the contents and results of an online course on Dynamics and communication strategies for professionals in Asperger syndrome. After reflecting on the socio-educational needs of recent years, it is briefly defined Asperger syndrome and the main linguistic-communicative deficits in these patients. Then, the most relevant theories in the field of social skills and communication strategies are reviewed. In conclusion, this article emphasize the importance of provide to professionals in Asperger syndrome sufficient tools for the labour on socio-communicative speech, encoring the role of gesture and intonation for decrypt properly communicative interactions.
