摘要
The correlations due to Carman and to Ergun for pressure drop for flow of fluids through fixed beds have been used to express the ratio of the free falling velocity of an individual particle to the minimum fluidising velocity for a bed of uniform particles as a function of the Galileo number. The results have then been used to evaluate the index n in the relation (uc/ui = en) connecting fluidising or sedimentation velocity with voidage. © 1969.
