Principles of colonization tsarist policy in Turkestan were the same as those set for the entire resettlement cases, but there were some features that explain local conditions. Ferghana Valley as last won the outskirts, which still had to suppress outbreaks of resistance, required a more cautious approach. Therefore, the fear of uprisings long time defined migration policy of tsarism in the Ferghana Valley The article reflects the immigration policy of the tsarist government in the Ferghana Valley of Turkestan region. Peculiarities and difficulties of implementation of this policy in the region is briefly disclosed. The influence of the Andijan uprising in the implementation of the resettlement policy of tsarism is evaluated.
