Osmotic and activity coefficients are reported for three pyrophosphate salts: K4P2O7, Na4P2O7, and K2H2P2O7 at (298.15 ± 0.01) K. The results are discussed in terms of the pyrophosphates as models for biologically important compounds such as the sodium and potassium salts of adenosine-5′-triphosphate. © 1979.
