摘要：

The limitations of various emerging approaches to providing voice and data communications to people away from their wireline telephones are examined. They include cordless telephones, mobile radiotelephones, and radio paging. System configurations are described and the radio propagation environment is considered. Radio-link operating frequencies, techniques, and calculations are discussed.
