摘要
The title compound (1) can be prepared in a simple manner without supply of heat by mixing melamine and concentrated monophosphoric acid in a molar ratio of 1 to 2. In 1 only one H3PO4 is strongly bound to melamine, whereas the other one is easily eliminated by the action of water, ethanol, and melamine, even at room temperature. On heating (250-350-degrees-C) 1 forms the condensed phosphates of melamine [(C3H6N6)2 . H4P2 O7; (C3H6N6)n] and hydrolysis products (condensed phosphates of ammonium; melamine cyanurate).
