摘要
A method is described for determination of oxalate in urine incorporating the use of a special centrifuge tube in which the oxalate is precipitated, washed, and determined by cerate oxidimetry. Water, saturated with CaC2O4 and preserved with pentachlorophenol, prevents loss of the precipitated CaC2O4 during the washing process. Dilute ammonia should not be used to wash the precipitate. The addition of a known quantity of Na2C2O4 to the urine before precipitation and use of a radioisotope-determined factor to correct for incomplete precipitation improve the accuracy of the results and permit the analysis to be completed in one day. © 1968.
