The ground state constants A0, DK0, and HK0 of the CH3CN molecule have been determined by combining the high-resolution Fourier transform spectra of the lowest fundamental band ν5, of the combination band ν7 + ν8, and of the hot band ν7 + ν8 - ν8. The ground state term value differences F(J, K + 3) - F(J, K) were deduced for five K values 0-4. From almost 400 differences, the following results (in cm-1) were obtained: A0 = 5.2736171 (26), DK0 = 94.46(15) × 10-6, and HK0 = 5.2(24) × 10-9. © 1993 Academic Press, Inc.
