摘要
Methyloxirane, as a prototype for other substituted oxirane systems, was chosen for spectroscopic and theoretical study of circular dichroism. Vacuum UV absorption and CD spectra are reported, as well as ab initio multireference configuration interaction calculations for the rotatory strengths of the first three CD absorption bands. Good agreement between theory and experiment is obtained.
