摘要
In this contribution the author tried to cast some light on the context in which reli- gious faith appears, in order to pinpoint those human needs with which it correlates. This investigation shows that religion is the answer to the fundamental human experi- ence of finality. The author tried to specify religion by following Paul Tillich's notion of"that which concerns us unconditionally".Religion is that reality which completely overcomes a believer, giving him/her the unconditional, absolute answer to the ques- tion of meaning that overcomes his/her finality. By taking this insight as a starting point, the author tried to sketch a possible philosophical approach to the reality of reli- gion and to propose some general guidelines for "philosophy of religion.
