An interfacial study of Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3O10 thin films on silver foil has been carried out. There is a guest phase, composed of a 2.4-nm-thick unit cell up to 10 nm thick in total, formed between the interface of the 2223 phase and the substrate. It is fitted, with our proposed model, to Tl2CaCu2O6. This kind of guest phase in the TBCCO and silver system is found for the first time. This non-superconducting Tl2CaCu2O6 phase did not affect the superconducting property, and T(c)=102 K was found for this sample.
