摘要
This paper discusses techniques for the calibration and imaging of the polarized response of radio interferometers. Special attention is paid to the problems of Very Long Baseline Interferometers but the discussion is applicable to short baseline interferometers. A linearized model of feed response and the ellipticity-orientation model are discussed. The interaction between phase calibration and polarization calibration is considered as is the effect of spatial resolution of the polarization calibrators.
