摘要
There has been considerable change in motor design and microprocessor-based protection relays over the past two decades. Computer-aided and cost-effective motor design has reduced motor material content and operating margins. Relays have evolved from a number of separate single-function electromagnetic elements to a microprocessor-based relay combining programmable multi-functions in a single case. These changes have many implications worthy of review. This paper discusses a number of them.
