摘要
Knowledge of ordered heterogeneity is useful for mapping, optimizing resource use, designing of field trials and most appropriate data interpretations. Eighty-one samples collected from 0 to 0.15 m soil depth on a 2 X 2 m grid pattern were analyzed for pH, EC, OC, available P, K, Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu in a 16 X 16 m plot. The coefficient of variation for the various soil test values varied from 11.1% to 66.4%. Two way simple trend variation ranged from 8% to 63% of variance depending upon the soil property. The random (nugget) component was as small as 15% for pH and as large as 65% of OC variance. The range parameter varied from 5.7 for Zn to 15.2 m in case of EC. Interrelationships of pH with Fe, Zn, P and OC were negative with the structural component ranging from 53.8% to 96.2% of the sill variance. Depending on soil analysis, the kriging (prediction) standard deviation was of the order of 0.72% to 10.0% of mean. Several applications of spatial variability concept for resource management are briefly discussed.
